Book of Mormon Tour, Day 2 Sunday Guatemala City

This day was our first official day of the tour.  We went to a local LDS church and then went to the Guatemala City temple grounds.  It was special for me because I got to spend some quality time thinking about Glenn.

We saw a special park with some interesting digs.

Then we went to the National Museum of Archaeology of Guatemala with a Stela and Alter that date back to 147 BC.  Which coincides with the date that the kingship transfered from King Noah to his son Limhi, we saw a relief map of the country of Guatemala that  helped orient us to the country as it relates to Book of Mormon sites.  We saw some very interesting things.

Here we go!
 The wonderful Guatemala City Temple
A dig that dates back to 600 BC.
Guatemala City may be the site of
the City of Nephi.
An unusual figure with unusual clothing and signs.
Relief of the country of Guatemala.
Our two pregnant girls, married to cousins:
Alli and Mandi Earl, so cute!!!  Love em!
