I just got home from a three day Creative Leadership Class at Gonzaga. The pictures below were taken for an assignment to see and see again the architecture on campus. We felt like this picture was inspirational not only because the statue represents the Savior, but because of the sun shining through the trees. The Library is is the back ground.
We like this because of the monochromatic texture of the arches and circles.
This picture was chosen because of the perspective and variety in form.
Our class was in this library building which is shaped like an open book. The circular part of the structure represents the spine of a book, with the two adjacent parts of the building representing the open pages.
This picture was taken because of the contrasting sky and flag and the campus building in the background. It is especially significant for this weekend.
We had fun on this assignment working with our group, taking lots of pictures from different perspective and the having to choose only four. The object of this is to see and then see again. Don't always stop at the first view, change perspectives, see what can be seen from another person's perspective. Lots to learn and think about.
Several pictures were taken from different angle of the Statue, so it was easy to find just the right one. It wasn't the first or the last picture we took. The one above is the most inspiring.

Very interesting Kathy. I really liked the statue of Christ the Son of God and then the sun shining through the trees. Both depict "light". Beautiful.
You forgot to take a picture of how cute you looked roaming around campus! Glad you had a good day. So proud of you, Mom!
