Eyes Healed - Chemo again!

Glenn's eyes are doing fantastic! The Ophthalmologist agrees with us, that it is a miracle. We are cutting back on medications a little at a time.

Glenn's oncologist thinks his eyes are doing so well, that she started him on chemo again this morning. We were stunned. I am glad, but still a little over whelmed.

Glenn was his usual funny self in the oncologist's office. When they talked about a shot, he didn't skip a beat and said, "oh that is such a pain in the _ _ _!" Then as we were walking down the hall to the infusion room, I know he felt like he was being sentenced to jail. But he managed to say, "Well, there goes my good looks. I mean, my 'looking good'!" He told Dr. Smith, "with friends like you who need enemies?" She thinks he is funny!

Yesterday at church every one kept saying, "You are looking so good". He has been looking so good since he hasn't had Chemo for 4 weeks! He will be done May 2nd. This only makes it one week later than planned.

He is getting a smaller dose of each of the three chemos. He thinks he is already getting a mouth sore. Poor guy. I hate to see him go through this, but I am glad he can have this precautionary chemo. We have to keep a close watch on his eyes.

Thank you Kathy for letting all of us know what is going on. There is not a day that goes by that we don't think of Glenn. His sense of humor is a quality of medicine that you can't get by prescription. His positive attitude will not only brighten his only spirit but also all of those around him. He continues to do good works. God bless both of you today, tomorrow, the day after and on and on and on.....

We think of you often and pray many times a day for you. Glad that you are back on schedule and getting the necessary treatments. Each treatment gets you that much closer to the end of the climb. We arrived in sunny Arizona, but Travis still has 7 feet of snow piled high in his front yard. We love you!
