Glenn was awake in the middle of the night and had time to think, with a clear head and no worries. He reflected on the fact that he may be facing some limitations but is so grateful that he has life and a body. One of the greatest blessing we have is our physical body. Whether we have the use of 80% of it or whether we have to make life style changes that interrupt our normal routines, we have the ability to deal with it. We will be blessed in our trials and everything will be alright. Life is still good! We must never forget that. It is very very important to have a positive attitude and realize that we can deal with the permanent changes that come our way. We do not have to be discouraged, our cup is still full and over flowing ,come what may.
Glenn's sister Mary Lou, who passed away from cancer 2 1/2 years ago would always say that she was drinking from the saucer, because her cup was over flowing. That is how we feel, we are drinking from the saucer.
The Lord is standing beside us and helping us through this. It is very important for us to acknowledge that to our Heavenly Father - with an attitude of gratitude. We all have "stuff" to go through. How wonderful it is to "go through" what we have been delt with the Lord by our side, as apposed to going though it, without relying on Him. How bless we are.
Glenn has been reflecting on where he was just 5 days ago (surgery) and where he is now. The progress in healing is absolutely amazing if not miraculous. We acknowledge it is an answer to faith and prayers of many many people who have been for us. He is grateful for the experience but would not belly up to the bar for a second helping.

Oh, how I agree. I think the rest of us are ready to see the Perrins' family have a "timeout" and a little smoother road. love ya...tons!!!
Yesterday in Church Bishop Wilks shared he had recently visited with President Perrins twice. He emphasized the healing and the power of prayers. He also indicated that President Perrins is in the top 2% for recovery. Yes, we have always felt like you two are on the "top of the world" in everything you do. I was humbled as both people who prayed in Sacrament prayed for President Perrins and family. Yes, a positive attitude will get us a long way. It is always wonderful to attend Church and get a hug from Clark. He loves and misses you so--as do all the rest of us!
